Having begun making confidential introductions early in his recruiting career, Joe McElmeel organized Brooke Chase M & A Referral Services in 2009 and is responsible for developing and maintaining the vision of the endeavor, overseeing business development, strategic alliances and all financial transactions.
Joe is the founder, Chairman & CEO of Brooke Chase Associates, Inc. and earlier served as President of Fortune Personnel Consultants of Chicago, as Executive VP and COO of Folger Adam Co., and held senior level positions at Ideal Security Hardware, Williams Company, and the Yale Lock & Hardware division of Eaton Corporation.
His education includes Westchester C.C., Iona College and the Executive Management Program at Baldwin Wallace College. He is a member of the Executive’s Club of Chicago, Sarasota Economic Development Commission, Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, and the Sarasota Downtown Partnership.

Murray joined Brooke Chase M & A Referral Services in 2009 to lead deal origination and consultation. Earlier, he founded The BortonWallace Company, a retained search firm that most recently focused on executive recruitment in biotech and medical products. During his tenure, he was a Director for Cornerstone International, a global consortium of search firms and a founding member of the National Association of Executive Recruiters.
The 10 years prior to BortonWallace were spent in product development, marketing, sales and sales management resulting in several new products, patents and multimillion-dollar markets for the DuPont Company. Murray’s education includes an MBA from UD Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and a BA in Physics.
